Rahim Sidam started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, HORIZZONT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kutluay Ömürcan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymundo Carilao in the 9th minute of play forced HORIZZONT's goalkeeper Yuan Ying to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th match minute, Ornitorrincos F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xaime Mac Gill to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, HORIZZONT's goal looked a bit too open when Lester Clavijo came free, but Yuan Ying reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. HORIZZONT's Yuan Ying played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lester Clavijo in the 18th minute of play. Guillermo Arregui hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Yuan Ying showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymundo Carilao, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 40 minutes into the game, İlbey Çetinel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HORIZZONT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ornitorrincos F.C. the free kick. After a rather tough play, HORIZZONT's İlbey Çetinel got a free kick in the 40th minute. Guillermo Arregui charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Arregui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Ornitorrincos F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Arregui to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Yoel Melipil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, HORIZZONT's Kutluay Ömürcan tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Raymundo Carilao made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, İlbey Çetinel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ornitorrincos F.C. booed when HORIZZONT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şaban Kayıhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st match minute, Ornitorrincos F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xaime Mac Gill to maneuver through the defense. José Augusto Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rahim Sidam, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. During the 71st minute of the match İlbey Çetinel completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave İlbey Çetinel a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 71st match minute, HORIZZONT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İlbey Çetinel to maneuver through the defense. If Bora Han Vahit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute of the match, Joaquim dos Santos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Yuan Ying was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 95 minutes into the match, Raymundo Carilao notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of HORIZZONT's Yuan Ying. Yuan Ying was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
