The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joacim Johansson in the 10th minute of play forced FC Grodzka's goalkeeper Wincent Drab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wincent Drab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joacim Johansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute, Alfred Kaczeniak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Grodzka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Wladyslaw Kopacz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. Folke Malmström was a little too slow when Alfred Kaczeniak got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-1. 40 minutes into the game, Alfred Kaczeniak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Folke Malmström. Alfred Kaczeniak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Stenström in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wincent Drab prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the match, FC Grodzka's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Stenström came free, but Wincent Drab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Svenska Lejon BK's Måns Grep got a free kick in the 46th minute.

In the 56th minute Zigmas Matonis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincent Drab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
