With a little luck, Olympiacos FC's Olívio Correia got control of the ball when Justino Maule tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olívio Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgard Marin in the 8th minute. Borimir Karamanchev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Hechter, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manolis Vounatsos in the 15th minute of play forced Club Atletico Blas's goalkeeper Borimir Karamanchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nemesio Hechter might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Borimir Karamanchev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nemesio Hechter ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Hechter in the 23rd minute of play forced Club Atletico Blas's goalkeeper Borimir Karamanchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olívio Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Odon in the 25th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leopoldo Odon got free with Olívio Correia in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute Themos Proedropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borimir Karamanchev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olívio Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Odon in the 35th minute. Olympiacos FC's Olívio Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Odon in the 36th minute of play. Nemesio Hechter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Borimir Karamanchev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nemesio Hechter in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Borimir Karamanchev saved Club Atletico Blas from getting behind. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atletico Blas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Christos Romanakoglou was slow to take the kick. During this time Olympiacos FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Club Atletico Blas's goalie and right to Kristian Malmström. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Club Atletico Blas's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Club Atletico Blas's Borimir Karamanchev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Malmström in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Olympiacos FC made a substitution. Lakis Xanthis replaced Andreas Kousoulakis. The wind increased when Nemesio Hechter made the kick off in the second half. Borimir Karamanchev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Themos Proedropoulos in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the game, Nemesio Hechter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Borimir Karamanchev. Nemesio Hechter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. 56 minutes into the game, Nemesio Hechter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Borimir Karamanchev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paschalis Stavrakos shot from long distance in the 64th minute, but Borimir Karamanchev was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 65thth minute of the game Nemesio Hechter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico Blas's Borimir Karamanchev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Olívio Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Bernard in the 68th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Themos Proedropoulos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Borimir Karamanchev. That made the score 0-3 in the 71 minute of play. Club Atletico Blas's Samuel Luix was substituted for Arturo Ixaka. Club Atletico Blas's Julio Bazil was substituted for Edgard Marin. Nemesio Hechter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Borimir Karamanchev came out and tried to block the shot, but Nemesio Hechter slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 75th minute. Lakis Xanthis hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Erubiel Quintana made a precise shot to the right of Olívio Correia. Olympiacos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. When Themos Proedropoulos came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Olympiacos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Themos Proedropoulos couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute of the match Olympiacos FC got a corner. Club Atletico Blas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Christos Romanakoglou ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Nemesio Hechter heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Olympiacos FC's Nemesio Hechter in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atletico Blas's goalie prevented a goal. After 97 minutes of play, Club Atletico Blas's Leopoldo Odon made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olívio Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Olympiacos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Olympiacos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
