The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ralf Mattsson came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Sao Paulo Leste FC's David Coutinho. But to his dismay, David Coutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Lobster if getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Bengt Almkvist hit a great ball. In the 7th minute Celsinho Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celsinho Cerezo struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Ralf Mattsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sao Paulo Leste FC. 12 minutes into the game, Sao Paulo Leste FC's Celsinho Cerezo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ralf Mattsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Sao Paulo Leste FC's Emerson Leão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Sao Paulo Leste FC from getting a goal against them. Alexander Julin charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Julin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Alexander Julin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celsinho Cerezo took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ralf Mattsson. Ralf Mattsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After some careless play in the Lobster if defense, Edvard Gråberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ralf Mattsson. The Lobster if fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ralf Mattsson should have stopped the shot. Celsinho Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Mattsson having to interfere. Edvard Gråberg scored 0-5 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ralf Mattsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Sao Paulo Leste FC fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Sao Paulo Leste FC's Celsinho Cerezo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 40 played minutes Lobster if got a freekick which was hit by Per-Åke Isaksson. After 46 played minutes Lobster if got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Julin. Maximilian Mellberg struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Ralf Mattsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sao Paulo Leste FC.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celsinho Cerezo to make the kick off. Celsinho Cerezos short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Ralf Mattsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Sao Paulo Leste FC booed when Lobster if was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Liljeström didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 59 in the game by Celsinho Cerezo from a close distance when the talented Ralf Mattsson managed to make a qualified save. Lobster if's players were relieved. After some careless play in the Lobster if defense, David Coutinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ralf Mattsson. The Lobster if fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ralf Mattsson should have stopped the shot. When Sao Paulo Leste FC's Celsinho Cerezo in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lobster if's goalie prevented a goal. Edvard Gråberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 69 minutes into the match, David Coutinho notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Lobster if's Ralf Mattsson. Ralf Mattsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 74th minute Stanislaw Turacki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Sao Paulo Leste FC's Edvard Gråberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ralf Mattsson. Ralf Mattsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-11. Celsinho Cerezo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Ralf Mattsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 81st minute, Stanislaw Turacki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If David Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sao Paulo Leste FC's Edvard Gråberg was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ralf Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvard Gråberg in the 89th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Celsinho Cerezo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-13. Ralf Mattsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Celsinho Cerezo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Ralf Mattsson made a huge save. Sao Paulo Leste FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
