Sao Paulo Leste FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maximilian Mellberg in the 21st minute. A nice corner shot did that Maximilian Mellberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Olov Linquist quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celsinho Cerezo got free with Olov Linquist in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Edvard Gråberg fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sao Paulo Leste FC's protests and gave Edvard Gråberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, AIF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Odin to maneuver through the defense. Emerson Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Månsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, AIF's goalkeeper Olov Linquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Coutinho. Thanks to some nice moves Erik Odin could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Emerson Leão however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Sandström in the 56th minute of play forced Sao Paulo Leste FC's goalkeeper Emerson Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olov Linquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Alfred Sandström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Edvin Mogren made a great header on AIF's corner, it was just that Sao Paulo Leste FC's Emerson Leão managed to reach the ball for a save. Olov Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. David Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Linquist having to interfere. If Erik Odin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute David Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Linquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olov Linquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Cerezo in the 78th minute of play. AIF's Olov Linquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Cerezo in the 79th minute of play. Emerson Leão made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Erik Odin sent off a good shot on target. David Coutinho took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olov Linquist. Olov Linquist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The supporters of AIF booed when Sao Paulo Leste FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gildo Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute of the match Sven-Edvin Mogren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emerson Leão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sao Paulo Leste FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of AIF for a fine match.
