Velho Barreiro FC's Ferid Eker came free and shot a quick shot against goal 10 minutes in the game, fortunately César Alcântara had problems saving as it came toward the left post. A collision led to Velho Barreiro FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Milcho Rakov hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferid Eker got free with César Alcântara in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferid Eker who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of César Alcântara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Salvador Futebol Clube booed when Velho Barreiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 minutes of play, Velho Barreiro FC's Ferid Eker made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Zico Galo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velho Barreiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zico Galo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The nice shot from Ferid Eker in the 45thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but César Alcântara had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Ferid Eker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but César Alcântara made a huge save.

The wind increased when Cássio Porto made the kick off in the second half. If Zico Galo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. With a little luck, Velho Barreiro FC's Iker Hidalgo got control of the ball when Amílton Perez tried to sneak it across the goal line.
