The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Stade Ygossais's zone, Sayveon Abad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabrice Caillot came out of the goal and Sayveon Abad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th match minute, Los Kollas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Abechuco to maneuver through the defense. Panos Papadimidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martial Jay, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Panos Papadimidis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean Kahn in the 18th minute. Fabrice Caillot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Predrag Nograšek in the 19th minute of the match. Jean Kahn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Panos Papadimidis made a huge save. Los Kollas's Predrag Nograšek got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 24 minutes, Agostinho Abechuco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Kollas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agostinho Abechuco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agostinho Abechuco struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Fabrice Caillot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Kollas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean-Philippe Barge during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Los Kollas's Joseph Abaunza was substituted for Agostinho Abechuco. In the 28th minute, Jean-Philippe Barge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Belon got free with Panos Papadimidis in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Rolando Abeita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Kollas's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Abeita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrice Caillot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joseph Abaunza might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabrice Caillot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martial Jay to make the kick off. Aaron Fernström kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. A collision led to Los Kollas getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Romo Abella hit a great ball. Panos Papadimidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Kahn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Kollas's Panos Papadimidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Belon in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute Martial Jay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panos Papadimidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 minutes of play, Stade Ygossais's Jean Kahn made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Panos Papadimidis was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th minute Predrag Nograšek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrice Caillot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Los Kollas booed when Stade Ygossais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martial Jay didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Los Kollas's Sayveon Abad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabrice Caillot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 89 played minutes Los Kollas got a freekick which was hit by Americo Abel. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Adam Belon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stade Ygossais's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Belon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
