Genaro Aragones ran back to his position shaking his head. 25 minutes into the match, Stade Ygossais's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Aragones came free, but Fabrice Caillot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Aragones's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrice Caillot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Célestin Harter kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Genaro Aragones struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Fabrice Caillot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Washington Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Waldemar Marques got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabrice Caillot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Genaro Aragones in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabrice Caillot saved Stade Ygossais from getting behind. Stade Ygossais's Fabrice Caillot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Stade Ygossais from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute, Célestin Harter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Genaro Aragones got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Genaro Aragones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 94 minutes into the game, Genaro Aragones cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Fabrice Caillot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The São José City - FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing São José City - FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
