The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Jan-Erik Gråberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gervásio Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjörn Brummer in the 7th minute of play. Klaus Van Mellart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Mattias Olofsson made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Atlético Micaelense's Mattias Olofsson threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Palmiro Bettencourt, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 11 minutes StraX Xenon FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rúben Camargo who took care of the corner kick. Atlético Micaelense's Rúben Camargo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mattias Olofsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Torbjörn Brummer came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the StraX Xenon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torbjörn Brummer couldn't finish the play. Mattias Olofsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Gråberg in the 17th minute of the match. Gervásio Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Nordal in the 21st minute of play. Mattias Olofsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Palmiro Bettencourt in the 25th minute. Mattias Olofsson was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Palmiro Bettencourt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Palmiro Bettencourt really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 34th minute, Ulrik Göransson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gervásio Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjörn Brummer in the 36th minute of play. Mattias Olofsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Gråberg in the 38th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Palmiro Bettencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mattias Olofsson was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Jan-Erik Gråberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mattias Olofsson having to make a save. Palmiro Bettencourt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Mattias Olofsson made a huge save. 46 minutes into the game, Arne Nordal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gervásio Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torbjörn Brummer to strike the kick off in the second half. When Vítor Águas fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Micaelense's protests and gave Vítor Águas a yellow card for diving instead. Gervásio Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torbjörn Brummer, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute of the match StraX Xenon FC got a corner. Atlético Micaelense's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arne Nordal ran over to the corner to take the kick. StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Palmiro Bettencourt in the 58th minute of play. Mattias Olofsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Gråberg in the 59th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, StraX Xenon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Gråberg came free, but Mattias Olofsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd match minute, StraX Xenon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christer Zachrisson to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klaus Van Mellart in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mattias Olofsson saved StraX Xenon FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Palmiro Bettencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mattias Olofsson was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. StraX Xenon FC's Bo Pedersson got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mattias Olofsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaus Van Mellart, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Mattias Olofsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Gråberg in the 75th minute of the match. Gervásio Sousa was a little too slow when Arne Nordal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 1-3. After a rather tough play, StraX Xenon FC's Otto Axelsson got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute Palmiro Bettencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Olofsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 played minutes StraX Xenon FC got a freekick which was hit by Otto Axelsson. A collision led to StraX Xenon FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Christer Zachrisson hit a great ball. StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rúben Camargo in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaus Van Mellart in the 92nd minute of play forced StraX Xenon FC's goalkeeper Mattias Olofsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Klaus Van Mellart left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Micaelense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The Atlético Micaelense supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching StraX Xenon FC's performance. The match ended with a win for StraX Xenon FC.
