After a defensive mix-up in FC Montana's zone, Phạm Nguyet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aydın Mehmet came out of the goal and Phạm Nguyet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hoàng Tran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Aurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute FC Montana were awarded a corner. Naci Kıncal went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led FC Montana's Naci Kıncal to fire away a dangerous shot which Hoàng Tran despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Phạm Nguyet got free with Aydın Mehmet in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, FC Montana's Aydın Mehmet got control of the ball when Thorvald Mansel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Võ Hoai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aydın Mehmet having to interfere. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Dalin's goalkeeper Hoàng Tran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Dalin's Thorvald Mansel suffered a sore thigh after 32 minutes and couldn't finish the game. FC Dalin made a substitution. Ronny Bruse replaced Thorvald Mansel. A collision led to FC Montana getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Bogumil Zawadzki hit a great ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Trần Ritchell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Dalin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trần Ritchell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute, kaya Budak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aydın Mehmet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Ritchell in the 40th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Aurre to make the kick off. The supporters of FC Dalin booed when FC Montana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. kaya Budak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hoàng Tran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bülent Ulunay, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Bülent Ulunay was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 75th minute. FC Montana's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Montana's Hasan Ali Karaman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hoàng Tran. That made the score 0-1 after 85 minutes of play. Hasan Ali Karaman took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hoàng Tran. Hoàng Tran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bülent Ulunay during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Dalin booed when FC Montana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bülent Ulunay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronny Bruse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Aydın Mehmet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Montana were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FC Dalin's much stronger midfield.
