In the 14th minute Saverio Niva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Róbson Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wágner Recife received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Enrique Antunes came out and tried to block the shot, but Wágner Recife slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 26th minute. Estrela Vermelha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Wágner Recife scored to the left of an out of position Enrique Antunes, making the score, 6-0. Estrela Vermelha's Enrique Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Niva in the 39th minute of play. With a little luck, Estrela Vermelha's Enrique Antunes got control of the ball when Wágner Recife tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vancouver Reds's Jakub Kiwior was substituted for Roberto Perfumo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

Enrique Antunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. 59 minutes into the match, Wágner Recife notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of Estrela Vermelha's Enrique Antunes. Enrique Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 65 minutes into the match, Estrela Vermelha's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Niva came free, but Enrique Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Róbson Queirós notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of Estrela Vermelha's Enrique Antunes. Enrique Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vitinho Quirino charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitinho Quirino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes Estrela Vermelha got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho Quirino. 80 minutes into the game, Wágner Recife cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Enrique Antunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Enrique Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Tate in the 83rd minute of the match. Saverio Niva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Enrique Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Estrela Vermelha got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Berger. After some careless play in the Estrela Vermelha defense, Saverio Niva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enrique Antunes. The Estrela Vermelha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrique Antunes should have stopped the shot. Saverio Niva scored 15-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Antunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vancouver Reds's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
