Ferhat Uğuş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Dávid, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the game, ÇALIMLI's Leon van Persie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edvin Beckeman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ferhat Uğuş. ÇALIMLI's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leon van Persie to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Pål Stensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
