Fabinho Pernambucano succeeded in the game's 8th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Osvaldinho Rocha notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Wambalamba FC's Cris Courtois. Cris Courtois was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 14th minute, João Carlos Vianna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shen Xun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Finnman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Robin Steckamp got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Carlos Vianna in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shen Xun saved Encanto from getting behind. Robin Steckamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shen Xun having to interfere. Robin Steckamp's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Shen Xun firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 28th minute of the match, João Carlos Vianna tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Shen Xun saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Fabinho Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wambalamba FC's João Carlos Vianna in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bernardinho Paes was slow to take the kick. During this time Encanto's players had a chance to rest. In the 46th minute of the match, João Carlos Vianna tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Shen Xun saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With his leg Shen Xun managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Wambalamba FC's Robin Steckamp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robin Steckamp was the one to do the kick off. Fabinho Pernambucanos short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Cris Courtois to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wambalamba FC's João Carlos Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Wambalamba FC's Helge Lindgren got a free kick in the 67th minute. Jacek Przybyciel hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Cris Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabinho Pernambucano in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Encanto's Lucjan Kondysar got a free kick in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Finnman in the 76th minute of play forced Encanto's goalkeeper Shen Xun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Encanto eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
