Spectators: 7593 (Terracing: 5696, Seating: 1746, VIP seats: 151) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. José Guerreiro started the match with the kick off. When Arkadiusz Kajdasz fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kernsdorf SSA's protests and gave Arkadiusz Kajdasz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Kernsdorf SSA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiusz Kajdasz to maneuver through the defense. Sydney FC's Ferdinand Mendy shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zbyszek Kaider but with some difficulty. Zbyszek Kaider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Önder Cebi in the 6th minute of the match. Kernsdorf SSA's Zbyszek Kaider proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Kernsdorf SSA from getting a goal against them. After 14 minutes Kernsdorf SSA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ferdinand Mendy who took care of the corner kick. Bjarne Nievelstein made a great header on Sydney FC's corner, it was just that Kernsdorf SSA's Zbyszek Kaider managed to reach the ball for a save. Zbyszek Kaider was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Emanuel Ogășanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emanuel Ogășanu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. José Guerreiro kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Zbyszek Kaider made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Ogășanu in the 27th minute of play. Tadeusz Siekierka hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Ogășanu got free with Zbyszek Kaider in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastian Titz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Guerreiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Ogășanu in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zbyszek Kaider saved Kernsdorf SSA from getting behind. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeusz Siekierka in the 34th minute of play. Sebastian Titz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Guerreiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Kernsdorf SSA were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Sydney FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lazaros Rota took the corner. In the 41st minute, Diego Esqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zbyszek Kaider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Ogășanu in the 43rd minute of the match. Zbyszek Kaider made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Ogășanu in the 43rd minute of play. Lazaros Rota recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sydney FC made a substitution. Per Stiig Beisel replaced Bjarne Nievelstein. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Ogășanu was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Önder Cebi in the 52nd minute of play forced Kernsdorf SSA's goalkeeper Zbyszek Kaider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute José Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Titz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sydney FC booed when Kernsdorf SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Esqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Kernsdorf SSA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Esqueira to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute Emanuel Ogășanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyszek Kaider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zbyszek Kaider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Ogășanu in the 67th minute of the match. Ludwig Hanstein hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Zbyszek Kaider came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Sydney FC's Adam Daller. But to his dismay, Adam Daller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Ogășanu in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zbyszek Kaider saved Kernsdorf SSA from getting behind. Angelo Milanese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zbyszek Kaider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Ogășanu in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Önder Cebi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyszek Kaider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, Damazy Gomolka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kernsdorf SSA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damazy Gomolka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wincenty Mazierz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Sebastian Titz made a huge save. In the 90thth minute of the game Emanuel Ogășanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kernsdorf SSA's Zbyszek Kaider was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the Sydney FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
