In the 5th minute of the match, Akram Munahid tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jânio de Barros saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jânio de Barros was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lotfi El Makhtoub showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Jânio de Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Ballybunion Celtic F.C. from getting a goal against them. When Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay in 15 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Falah Waddah guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 19 played minutes Líbano got a freekick which was hit by Ali Miyaz. In the 23rd minute, Bashar Al Azra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jânio de Barros was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Dirar Rashid took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Jânio de Barros to make any attempt to save it. With an all-out effort, Líbano's Jânio de Barros threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Akram Munahid, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Ali Miyaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jânio de Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Miyaz's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dirar Rashid got free with Jânio de Barros in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Falah Waddah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay in the 43rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Líbano's Jânio de Barros threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dirar Rashid, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Dirar Rashid made the kick off in the second half. Jânio de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akram Munahid in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Alfredinho Teixeira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Falah Waddah, 3-2. After a rather tough play, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s José-Francisco Virues got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Jânio de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirar Rashid in the 69th minute of play. In the 71stth minute of the game Alfredinho Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Líbano's Falah Waddah was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Falah Waddah read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Líbano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Miyaz to maneuver through the defense. After 84 minutes Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bashar Al Azra who took care of the corner kick. Jânio de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dirar Rashid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Falah Waddah threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bashar Al Azra struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jânio de Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Líbano. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Líbano fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ballybunion Celtic F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
