Spectators: 7443 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) A collision led to Castelar F.C. getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Gregorio Mendez hit a great ball. Eusko Zubicoeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Piarres having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donat Collier in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnulfo Piarres saved Castelar F.C. from getting behind. Jimeno Fonso hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Arnulfo Piarres made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Donat Collier sent off a good shot on target. Steve Hyuga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnulfo Piarres having to make a save. Eusko Zubicoeta succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 14th playminute. 21 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Inocente came free, but Maurilio Duque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurilio Duque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Ortega in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, Castelar F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Senen to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Castelar F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Steve Hyuga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 30th minute, Steve Hyuga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnulfo Piarres was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 33rd play minute Eusko Zubicoeta came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arnulfo Piarres. 3-0. After having played for 36 minutes, Donat Collier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nova Soccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donat Collier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Inocente in the 38th minute of play forced Nova Soccer's goalkeeper Maurilio Duque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Czeslaw Dejo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Castelar F.C.. Arturo Inocente stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maurilio Duque. 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arturo Inocente made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Ariel Ortega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castelar F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Ortega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurilio Duque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dantel Ayllon during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Soccer's zone, German Senen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurilio Duque came out of the goal and German Senen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ariel Ortega who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Maurilio Duque when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Ariel Ortega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castelar F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Ortega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurilio Duque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd minute, Ariel Ortega left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castelar F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 66th minute, Castelar F.C.'s Arturo Inocente ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maurilio Duque. Maurilio Duque yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. Maurilio Duque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Inocente in the 69th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Nova Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Donat Collier. Arturo Inocente shot from long distance in the 71st minute, but Maurilio Duque was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After some careless play in the Castelar F.C. defense, Eusko Zubicoeta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnulfo Piarres. The Castelar F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnulfo Piarres should have stopped the shot. Maurilio Duque made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Ariel Ortega sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusko Zubicoeta in the 85th minute of play forced Castelar F.C.'s goalkeeper Arnulfo Piarres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Arturo Inocente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurilio Duque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of Castelar F.C.'s supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Castelar F.C. may have spent more time on the ball, but Nova Soccer were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
