The Expreso del oeste fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Expreso del oeste's Constantino Lartaun looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. EL CORTO FC's Nicolas Perrando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Lartaun in the 14th minute of play. Hernan Fernanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Sustrai in the 39th minute of play. Constantino Lartaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernan Fernanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Sustrai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Constantino Lartaun made a kick off. EL CORTO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matias Sein was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. There was no doubt that Expreso del oeste were the better team. Expreso del oeste's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
