Musa Kelim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Hitz in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute João Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Musa Kelim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Xalvador Uralde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Black Rose 1979's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist got control of the ball when Oriol Mendaña tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute Pes Villarias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pes Villarias in the 42nd minute. Pes Villarias scored 2-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl-Johan Ahlqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Black Rose 1979's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fútbol Club Insaar the free kick. Fútbol Club Insaar made a substitution. Jonathon Triplett replaced Oriol Mendaña. Fútbol Club Insaar's Humberto Pereira was substituted for Garikoitz Ochandiano. After a rather tough play, Black Rose 1979's Waldemar Matorin got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Black Rose 1979's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Surma in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Matorin in the 79th minute of play forced Fútbol Club Insaar's goalkeeper Musa Kelim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Surma in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Ahlqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Hitz got free with Musa Kelim in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pes Villarias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Johan Ahlqvist having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Caitano Fuentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
