The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Gerardo Hitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 5 minutes into the match, Gerardo Hitz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of DPD FC's Nuno Pais. Nuno Pais was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th minute, Waldemar Matorin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nuno Pais was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 15th minute, Sebastian Enekoitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Black Rose 1979 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Tarcísio Calçada hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After 21 minutes, Gerardo Hitz made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. DPD FC's Nuno Pais tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Setúbal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Black Rose 1979 booed when DPD FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Palmiro Ramires didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Black Rose 1979's Gerardo Hitz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nuno Pais. That made the score 6-0 after 27 minutes of play. 30 minutes into the match, Black Rose 1979's Gerardo Hitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno Pais narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Waldemar Matorin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Gol tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as D.J. Gol kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nuno Pais. That made the score 8-0 in the 36 minute of play. Black Rose 1979's Gerardo Hitz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 42nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Black Rose 1979's Sebastian Enekoitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno Pais narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th match minute, DPD FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Setúbal to maneuver through the defense.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jairo Setúbal was the one to do the kick off. When Higino Lameiras fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DPD FC's protests and gave Higino Lameiras a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st match minute, DPD FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higino Lameiras to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Enekoitz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 51st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nuno Pais. DPD FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nuno Pais didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from D.J. Gol went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. 59 minutes into the game, Gerardo Hitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Nuno Pais was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 64 minutes into the game, D.J. Gol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Black Rose 1979's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DPD FC the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Black Rose 1979 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by D.J. Gol to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the DPD FC defense, Waldemar Matorin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nuno Pais. The DPD FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nuno Pais should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute, Waldemar Matorin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nuno Pais was frozen by the shot and now it was 15-0. Nuno Pais stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enzo-Nicolás Pérez's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. After 81 minutes DPD FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sebastian Enekoitz who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in D.J. Gol heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldemar Matorin in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Pais saved DPD FC from getting behind. D.J. Gol scored 16-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nuno Pais, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nuno Pais came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Black Rose 1979's Gerardo Hitz. But to his dismay, Gerardo Hitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 17-0. Black Rose 1979 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
