The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teobaldo Ubarna in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raul Diego saved Pereiras FC from getting behind. 4 minutes into the match, El Renacer del Quijano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aleksi Puhakainen came free, but Andres Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Diego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Ubarna, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. If Ulisses Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the game, Teobaldo Ubarna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Raul Diego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Teobaldo Ubarna might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raul Diego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teobaldo Ubarna ran back to his position shaking his head. 21 minutes into the match, Pereiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Ubarna came free, but Raul Diego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teobaldo Ubarna in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raul Diego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dick Batum charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dick Batum the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pereiras FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. In the 27th minute Teobaldo Ubarna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Diego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pereiras FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tião Penha was slow to take the kick. During this time El Renacer del Quijano FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to El Renacer del Quijano FC's Jakob Friberger getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Per-Erik Ekberg put in a rough tackle. Raul Diego had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Teobaldo Ubarna's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Raul Diego came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by El Renacer del Quijano FC's Teobaldo Ubarna. But to his dismay, Teobaldo Ubarna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teobaldo Ubarna made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Pereiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Ubarna came free, but Raul Diego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Diego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Ubarna in the 56th minute of the match. El Renacer del Quijano FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tião Penha in the 57th minute. Lucas Cresconio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Teobaldo Ubarna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Raul Diego made a huge save. Teobaldo Ubarna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. El Renacer del Quijano FC made a substitution. Aurelio Urbes replaced Teobaldo Ubarna. When Ulisses Luz fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pereiras FC's protests and gave Ulisses Luz a yellow card for diving instead. After 72 played minutes Pereiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses Luz. Aurelio Urbes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurelio Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 77th minute, Aurelio Urbes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, El Renacer del Quijano FC's Aurelio Urbes got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute, Jakob Friberger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Aurelio Urbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
