Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilmar Marinho to make the kick off. Jens Huybreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José de Queirós in the 51st minute of play. Guadalupe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hílton Pernambucano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens Huybreghts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Guilherme Vides charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
