Geronimo Argi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Trică, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Vela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sabin Verzeanu in the 41st minute. Geronimo Argi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Pinto in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
