The crowd rose to their feet as Malmö White Knights's Elvijs Presley slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lech Latkiewicz. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Elvijs Presley took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lech Latkiewicz. Lech Latkiewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvijs Presley in the 19th minute of play forced Legia Warszawa 【L】's goalkeeper Lech Latkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Legia Warszawa 【L】's Lech Latkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvijs Presley in the 21st minute of play. Elvijs Presley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lech Porajewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Johnny Banks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malmö White Knights's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Evert Taube in the 29th minute. After taking down the ball on Malmö White Knights's corner Evert Taube fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lech Latkiewicz quite easily take care of the ball. Elvijs Presley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Lech Latkiewicz made a huge save. Johnny Banks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Sagan in the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Malmö White Knights's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bogdan Poreda was slow to take the kick. During this time Legia Warszawa 【L】's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Legia Warszawa 【L】's Hugon Niziolek got a free kick in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Poreda in the 44th minute of play forced Malmö White Knights's goalkeeper Johnny Banks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roby Baggio made a kick off. Elvijs Presley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lech Latkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvijs Presley, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute.
