Ain Averin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriele Batistuta's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. A nice corner shot did that Peter Söderqwist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ain Averin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriele Batistuta in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ain Averin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Dundee's goalkeeper Ain Averin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th minute Menchu FC were awarded a corner. Abdoulay Doucouré went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Peter Söderqwist advanced and headed the ball into goal, 3-0 in the 20th minute. The supporters of Menchu FC booed when FC Dundee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arvo Kena didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Gabriele Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menchu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriele Batistuta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaido Jaas in the 25th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvo Kena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Ergo Are almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor did a great save. Ain Averin was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Gabriele Batistuta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriele Batistuta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ain Averin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arno Luuk in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of FC Dundee booed when Menchu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Cordaryal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ain Averin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. FC Dundee's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
