When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alejandro Martxelin sped through FC Kukova's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Róbert Behúň. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gong Yang in the 21st minute of play forced Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Héctor Barra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Capo de Provincia's Héctor Barra got control of the ball when Jozef Šagáth tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 53rd minute Jozef Šagáth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Héctor Barra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejandro Martxelin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Capo de Provincia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Róbert Behúň made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Jiménez in the 91st minute of play. Capo de Provincia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Jiménez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Róbert Behúň didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Villa went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
