A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jean Britton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eustaquio Edwardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute Sport Lisboa e Benfica were awarded a corner. Trey Easley went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Garland Noël getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Lenny Knight-Percival kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Sport Lisboa e Benfica from getting a goal against them. Eustaquio Edwardo came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jean Britton. But to his dismay, Jean Britton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Eustaquio Edwardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Britton in the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Doppa Fc's Rodrigo Palacio got a free kick in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Londoño was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Jean Britton took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Eustaquio Edwardo to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Doppa Fc's Tobiasz Kinic got a free kick in the 66th minute. Eustaquio Edwardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Britton in the 74th minute of the match. Eustaquio Edwardo was a little too slow when Jean Britton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 2-4. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Doppa Fc's goalkeeper Eustaquio Edwardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Jean Britton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 94 played minutes Doppa Fc got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Millan. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sport Lisboa e Benfica eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
