Vihar Milev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Octavian Soare came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by FC LongeR's Vihar Milev. But to his dismay, Vihar Milev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some careless play in the FC LongeR defense, Shi Li kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hieronim Walczyk. The FC LongeR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hieronim Walczyk should have stopped the shot. Vihar Milev might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavian Soare. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vihar Milev ran back to his position shaking his head. Octavian Soare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vihar Milev in the 13th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Valeriu Zdrobiş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galati Harbour Cats and the FC LongeR players grew even worse after the yellow card. 17 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Vihar Milev came free, but Octavian Soare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 minutes of play, FC LongeR's Vihar Milev made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavian Soare was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hieronim Walczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shi Li, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC LongeR booed when Galati Harbour Cats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Zdrobiş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vihar Milev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Soare having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shi Li stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Shi Li shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hieronim Walczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hieronim Walczyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shi Li in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Vihar Milev managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC LongeR's supporters rose to their feet, but Vihar Milev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavian Soare breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vihar Milev in the 61st minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Galati Harbour Cats's Valeriu Zdrobiş quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pitambar Qajaia, made in the 66th minute of the game. 67 minutes into the match, Shi Li had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hieronim Walczyk. FC LongeR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shi Li was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After a rather tough play, FC LongeR's Vihar Milev got a free kick in the 88th minute. Hieronim Walczyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shi Li in the 92nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shi Li got free with Hieronim Walczyk in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Galati Harbour Cats supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Galati Harbour Cats would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
