Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Froilan Ciano in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Rallo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute Roman Zima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiří Hasman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jiří Hasman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from J.P. Morgan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute, J.P. Morgan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jiří Hasman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jiří Hasman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Zima, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 27 played minutes Universitario de deportes got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Sepúlveda. After 28 played minutes FC Blue Twister Liberec got a freekick which was hit by Orkun Okan. 29 minutes into the match, FC Blue Twister Liberec's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Olaechea came free, but Jiří Hasman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Jorge Olaechea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute Roman Zima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiří Hasman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, FC Blue Twister Liberec's Lucas Rallo threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Froilan Ciano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Froilan Ciano hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC Blue Twister Liberec getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Milan Vrbík hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Blue Twister Liberec. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Olaechea couldn't finish the play. In the 76th match minute, Universitario de deportes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tor Viklund to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Ciano in the 81st minute of play forced Universitario de deportes's goalkeeper Lucas Rallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Emir Devan struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Lucas Rallo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Blue Twister Liberec. A collision led to Universitario de deportes getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Filomeno Sepúlveda hit a great ball. Universitario de deportes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
