Lucas Rallo came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Rezurekcja Gomulin's Qian Kang Bin. But to his dismay, Qian Kang Bin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Stasio Brodzki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from J.P. Morgan went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Qian Kang Bin got free with Lucas Rallo in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Universitario de deportes's goalkeeper Lucas Rallo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Qian Kang Bin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Rallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute Filomeno Sepúlveda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stasio Brodzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filomeno Sepúlveda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stasio Brodzki having to make a save. Lucas Rallo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 44 minutes Universitario de deportes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Korneliusz Jekot who took care of the corner kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell J.P. Morgan to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Universitario de deportes's J.P. Alfred Mosiniak replaced Adam Falkiewicz. The supporters of Rezurekcja Gomulin booed when Universitario de deportes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hildeberto Brás didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 played minutes, Rezurekcja Gomulin's Korneliusz Jekot shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucas Rallo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rezurekcja Gomulin reached it. The Rezurekcja Gomulin supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Universitario de deportes's performance. The match ended with a win for Universitario de deportes.
