In the 10thth minute of the game Nariman Mansourian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestra do Interior's Bruninho Vaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Tastzian came free, but Bruninho Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patric Isaksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Godoi in the 13th minute of play. Palestra do Interior were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Barrenta SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hudson Sergipano took the corner. Palestra do Interior's Hudson Sergipano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Patric Isaksson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Paulo Godoi struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Patric Isaksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palestra do Interior. Paulo Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Patric Isaksson made a huge save. After 29 played minutes Barrenta SC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo do Valle. Patric Isaksson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Godoi in the 30th minute. In the 33rd match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilmar da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agustín Tastzian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Paulo Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Agustín Tastzian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruninho Vaz was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 65th minute, Barrenta SC's Agustín Tastzian dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Ernani Velasco got a free kick in the 95th minute. Despite being the better team, Barrenta SC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
