Kılıç Özyuva ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Faustão Abraão advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-0 in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Panait Frânculescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santiago Mino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Grove. In the 54th minute, Alfons Hellström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 played minutes, Alexandria Team08's Kılıç Özyuva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfredo Joey came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alexandria Team08 reached it. In the 61st minute, Faustão Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Palermo made a substitution. Marcelino Chaime replaced Carolo Rozarius. 64 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaf Svanér came free, but Alfredo Joey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Joey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Văcăroiu in the 69th minute of the match. Palermo's Alfredo Joey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustão Abraão in the 70th minute of play. Alfredo Joey had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Radu Barna's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Gustaf Svanér recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Carles Borg hit a great ball. In the 90th match minute, Alexandria Team08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Spineanu to maneuver through the defense. Alexandria Team08's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
