Ortzi Goxenola was slow to take the kick. During this time Unikurdos United F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Tartalo Bazquez managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 12 minutes into the match, Unikurdos United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Teofilio came free, but Sesuldo Teijelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sesuldo Teijelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Rafe in the 16th minute of play. Enrique Bologna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Fribäck went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 22 minutes into the game, Gaizka Mendieta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unikurdos United F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Masters United F.C. the free kick. Gaizka Mendieta hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Daniel Fribäck scored 2-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Bologna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Unikurdos United F.C.'s Daniel Fribäck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enrique Bologna. That made the score 3-1 after 36 minutes of play. Marco Solo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

In the 51st minute, Hans-Martin Istad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Sesuldo Teijelo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Masters United F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aurelio Cuarto in the 56th minute. The corner led Masters United F.C.'s Aurelio Cuarto to fire away a dangerous shot which Sesuldo Teijelo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruperto Pirro in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sesuldo Teijelo saved Unikurdos United F.C. from getting behind. When Florencio Rafe came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Masters United F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Rafe couldn't finish the play. Masters United F.C.'s Herminio Frantzes was substituted for Celso Hotz. Unikurdos United F.C. made a substitution. Andoni Viso replaced Ortzi Goxenola. Sesuldo Teijelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Martin Istad in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Unikurdos United F.C.'s goalkeeper Sesuldo Teijelo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sesuldo Teijelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Martin Istad in the 71st minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Hans-Martin Istad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Masters United F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Masters United F.C.'s Dino Rava managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hever Zapatero in the 80 minute of the game. Sesuldo Teijelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans-Martin Istad, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Frantzes in the 82nd minute of play forced Unikurdos United F.C.'s goalkeeper Sesuldo Teijelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Bologna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rojelio Carrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Masters United F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Masters United F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
