With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gernando Azevedo in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Georgi Velinov saved FC CSKA from getting behind. Ruy Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 24th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Gernando Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georgi Velinov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. FC CSKA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Georgi Dimitrov in the 36th minute. Gernando Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Azevedo in the 37th minute of play forced FC CSKA's goalkeeper Georgi Velinov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruy Montenegro was a little too slow when Ahmet Refik Ülgü got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 47th match minute, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hidayet Baran to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmet Refik Ülgü was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, FC CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Azevedo came free, but Georgi Velinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gernando Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruy Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Refik Ülgü, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Azevedo in the 58th minute of play forced FC CSKA's goalkeeper Georgi Velinov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Ahmet Refik Ülgü shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Refik Ülgü came free, but Ruy Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gernando Azevedo took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Georgi Velinov. Fred Monteiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Georgi Velinov made a huge save. 86 minutes into the match, FC CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Azevedo came free, but Georgi Velinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Los Andes FC - FSCMZ defense, Ruslan Dzhalev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruy Montenegro. The Los Andes FC - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruy Montenegro should have stopped the shot. Georgi Dimitrov's late challenge caught a Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Georgi Dimitrov helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Los Andes FC - FSCMZ booed when FC CSKA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georgi Dimitrov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gernando Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
