The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when Club Dep. Soc. Rodo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Bastian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tom Riddle came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Gasteiz Latorre. But to his dismay, Gasteiz Latorre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Tom Riddle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Del Manfredi in the 37th minute. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Gasteiz Latorre got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Club Dep. Soc. Rodo made a substitution. Anthon Öberg replaced Gasteiz Latorre. Australian Youth Academy made a substitution. Fletcher Baba replaced Gabriel Martini. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fletcher Baba to strike the kick off in the second half. Tom Riddle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthon Öberg in the 55th minute of the match. When Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Anthon Öberg, in the 55th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Club Dep. Soc. Rodo. Celso Trasloseros kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Jeremy Avellana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 61st minute of play. Tom Riddle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthon Öberg in the 64th minute of the match. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Tom Riddle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute Anthon Öberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Riddle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Dante Baba got a free kick in the 88th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Anthon Öberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthon Öberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Jeremy Avellana got control of the ball when Fletcher Baba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
