Pogoń Szczecin's supporters rose to their feet, but Norbert Major was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leszek Wielopolski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Major in the 15th minute of play forced INTER Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Leszek Wielopolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute of the match Pogoń Szczecin got a corner. INTER Sosnowiec's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sebastião Xoxe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dawid Olejarz in the 42nd minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Klement Zachemski was the one to do the kick off. In the 63rd minute Klement Zachemski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Xoxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leszek Wielopolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Major in the 65th minute of the match. INTER Sosnowiec's Leszek Wielopolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Major in the 66th minute of play. If Leopoldo Villegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião Xoxe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leszek Gniech, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind INTER Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Leszek Wielopolski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A throw-in in the 95th minute of the game was made by Michael Klein with Dawid Olejarz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
