After a rather tough play, Confusao's Chicão de Lima got a free kick in the 6th minute. Valdomiro Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Downey's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Francisco Downey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Mendes having to interfere. Marvin Lord received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Valdomiro Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Silas Blackwell fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pendleton's protests and gave Silas Blackwell a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Confusao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséias de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Kléber Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute of the match Luther Cormier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdomiro Mendes skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Confusao's Giovani Favoretto got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 38th match minute, Confusao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raí Cabral to maneuver through the defense. Ferdinand Chandler came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Confusao's Jean Neto. But to his dismay, Jean Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 45 played minutes Confusao got a freekick which was hit by Giovani Favoretto. In the 47th minute, Francisco Downey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdomiro Mendes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean Neto to make the kick off. A collision led to Pendleton getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Timothy Jeffries hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pendleton's zone, Alfredinho Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinand Chandler came out of the goal and Alfredinho Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Confusao's Kléber Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 54th minute. Pendleton's Marvin Lord got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kléber Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a Pendleton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kléber Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pendleton booed when Confusao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marvin Lord in the 63rd minute of play forced Confusao's goalkeeper Valdomiro Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Jean Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdomiro Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marvin Lord in the 67th minute of play. Oséias de Andrade hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Marvin Lord left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pendleton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 73 minutes into the game, Pendleton's Marvin Lord nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdomiro Mendes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 80th minute, Oséias de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Jean Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Confusao's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdinand Chandler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marvin Lord fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Mendes having to interfere. Valdomiro Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Downey, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
