Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Severino Armiñan took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Alfredo Di Fonzo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vigarano Pieve AFC's Alfredo Di Fonzo got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benicio Tapia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Rivera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severino Armiñan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 11 minutes of play, Vigarano Pieve AFC's Ernesto Rivera made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benicio Tapia was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Nueva Esparta FC's zone, Enzo Mantini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benicio Tapia came out of the goal and Enzo Mantini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Rivera in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benicio Tapia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18thth minute of the game Ernesto Rivera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nueva Esparta FC's Benicio Tapia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Vigarano Pieve AFC fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Vigarano Pieve AFC's Ernesto Rivera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 23rdth minute of the game Ernesto Rivera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nueva Esparta FC's Benicio Tapia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benicio Tapia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Di Fonzo in the 24th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Severino Armiñan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elia De Lucia. That made the score 1-2 in the 25 minute of play. If Elpidio Briñas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Ernesto Rivera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Tapia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elia De Lucia made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Elpidio Briñas sent off a good shot on target. Benicio Tapia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernesto Rivera went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. After having played for 39 minutes, Ermanno Proietti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vigarano Pieve AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermanno Proietti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ernesto Rivera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Ernesto Rivera made a precise shot to the right of Benicio Tapia. Nueva Esparta FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernesto Rivera to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Ernesto Rivera made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. Nueva Esparta FC's Benicio Tapia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ernesto Rivera came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benicio Tapia could save by the left post. 59 minutes into the game, Elpidio Briñas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nueva Esparta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vigarano Pieve AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Nueva Esparta FC's Elpidio Briñas got a free kick in the 59th minute. Ernesto Rivera's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Benicio Tapia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Benicio Tapia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Rivera in the 62nd minute of play. Ernesto Rivera let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 64th minute shot 1-7 at rihgt post. Ernesto Rivera took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benicio Tapia. Benicio Tapia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Armiñan in the 72nd minute of play forced Vigarano Pieve AFC's goalkeeper Elia De Lucia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laffitte Rabanera's late challenge caught a Vigarano Pieve AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laffitte Rabanera helped the player get up and apologised. 77 minutes into the game, one of Nueva Esparta FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 82 played minutes Nueva Esparta FC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Armiñan. Benicio Tapia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermanno Proietti, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Ernesto Rivera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benicio Tapia having to make a save. Ernesto Rivera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Benicio Tapia made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Veronica Ingueros during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vigarano Pieve AFC booed when Nueva Esparta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veronica Ingueros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Rivera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Benicio Tapia managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Vigarano Pieve AFC's Ernesto Rivera fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Benicio Tapia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Rivera's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Vigarano Pieve AFC played a much better game than Nueva Esparta FC and deserved their victory. The Nueva Esparta FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
