Horbury ACS's Masuod Al Fadhalah proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Horbury ACS from getting a goal against them. Mätäsvaara IFK's Saku Sanevuori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monther Al Mehana in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Mätäsvaara IFK booed when Horbury ACS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ammar Al Qatam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arvo Ristolainen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 13 played minutes Mätäsvaara IFK got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Kiprusoff. In the 22nd minute, Fahad Al Hammady left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Horbury ACS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Anttoni Koivu came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Mätäsvaara IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anttoni Koivu couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Mätäsvaara IFK defense, Hassan Al Homaithe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saku Sanevuori. The Mätäsvaara IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saku Sanevuori should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the game, Hassan Al Homaithe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Saku Sanevuori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hassan Al Homaithe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Hassan Al Homaithe made the kick off in the second half. Saku Sanevuori was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hassan Al Homaithe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 52 minute of play. If Hassan Al Homaithe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mätäsvaara IFK's Saku Sanevuori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hassan Al Homaithe in the 60th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jani Hannus in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Masuod Al Fadhalah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jani Hannus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fahad Al Hammady during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes Horbury ACS got a freekick which was hit by Fahad Al Hammady. In the 73rd minute, Jani Hannus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Masuod Al Fadhalah was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 77th minute, Ilmo Ahmaoja made a precise shot to the right of Masuod Al Fadhalah. Horbury ACS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. After having played for 80 minutes, Fahad Al Hammady managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horbury ACS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fahad Al Hammady was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jani Hannus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Horbury ACS defense, Jani Hannus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Masuod Al Fadhalah. The Horbury ACS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Masuod Al Fadhalah should have stopped the shot. In the 90th minute, Mika Reinikainen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saku Sanevuori made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Fahad Al Hammady sent off a good shot on target. In the 97th minute, Horbury ACS's Fahad Al Hammady dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-5. The Horbury ACS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
