Vladimiro Lencastre was slow to take the kick. During this time Mogadouro's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mogadouro's Vladimiro Lencastre to fire away a dangerous shot which Martin Gabon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mogadouro's goalkeeper Januário Calado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernardo Poz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Januário Calado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Medellín AFC's Elpidio Henry nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Januário Calado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mogadouro's Januário Calado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Henry in the 26th minute of play. Januário Calado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Fidensio in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mogadouro's Evandro Mafra got a free kick in the 27th minute. Elpidio Henry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bernardo Poz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Januário Calado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Mogadouro's Evandro Mafra dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 43rd minute, Vladimiro Lencastre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Medellín AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Carrasqueira came free, but Martin Gabon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adelino Carrasqueira to strike the kick off in the second half. When Ezequiel Urdin fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Medellín AFC's protests and gave Ezequiel Urdin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Medellín AFC's Ezequiel Urdin got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Setúbal in the 54th minute of play forced Medellín AFC's goalkeeper Martin Gabon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Januário Calado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Henry in the 55th minute of the match. Bernardo Poz's late challenge caught a Mogadouro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Poz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Medellín AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Bernardo Poz hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match Vladimiro Lencastre sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Gabon skillfully saved the ball. In the 59th match minute, Medellín AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Poz to maneuver through the defense. Melchor Fidensio struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Januário Calado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medellín AFC. Melchor Fidensio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Januário Calado made a huge save. Eugenio Tiso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Januário Calado made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Melchor Fidensio sent off a good shot on target. After 73 minutes of play, Mogadouro's Severino Setúbal made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Gabon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Januário Calado was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eugenio Tiso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 78 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugenio Ederono during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Medellín AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Eugenio Ederono hit a great ball. Medellín AFC's Martin Gabon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Setúbal in the 87th minute of play. Januário Calado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Henry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 played minutes Medellín AFC got a freekick which was hit by Esteve Ishmael. After 94 played minutes Medellín AFC got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Fidensio. In the 94th minute, Melchor Fidensio fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Januário Calado moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. Medellín AFC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
