Southampton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaeliusato F.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, Southampton's Archie Stonebridge got a free kick in the 12th minute. Jack Stayton in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vincent Abajas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Bartolomé Jimenez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Wilson was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After having played for 16 minutes, Jack Stayton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southampton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jack Stayton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Southampton's Archie Stonebridge in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 28th minute Bartolomé Jimenez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Wilson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jack Stayton struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Vincent Abajas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Southampton. 31 minutes into the match, Gaeliusato F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Archie Stonebridge came free, but Vincent Abajas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vincent Abajas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jack Stayton in the 37th minute. Argoitz Moya might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Wilson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Argoitz Moya ran back to his position shaking his head. Martin Wilson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Argoitz Moya went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Argoitz Moya took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Martin Wilson. Southampton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Archie Stonebridge was the one to do the kick off. Vincent Abajas came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Southampton's Archie Stonebridge. But to his dismay, Archie Stonebridge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Daniel Reading hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Argoitz Moya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolomé Jimenez got free with Martin Wilson in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 78 minutes, Bartolomé Jimenez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaeliusato F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolomé Jimenez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeffrey Roberts helped the player get up and apologised. Jeffrey Roberts hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Southampton's Martin Wilson got control of the ball when Bartolomé Jimenez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Archie Stonebridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Vincent Abajas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Southampton were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gaeliusato F.C for a fine match.
