Gartzea Cabezas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Martin Wilson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Martin Wilson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belo Pedraza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Román Contreras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Reading, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Román Contreras came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Southampton's Archie Stonebridge. But to his dismay, Archie Stonebridge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Union Deportiva Atios's goal looked a bit too open when Archie Stonebridge came free, but Román Contreras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Wilson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víctor Prieto in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Víctor Prieto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Wilson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Daniel Reading hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amancio Talavera's late challenge caught a Southampton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amancio Talavera helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Belo Pedraza during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 33 minutes into the match, Archie Stonebridge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Román Contreras. Union Deportiva Atios's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Archie Stonebridge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Union Deportiva Atios's Gartzea Cabezas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Martin Wilson. That made the score 1-2 after 37 minutes of play. In the 40th minute, Jack Stayton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 41 played minutes Union Deportiva Atios got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Talavera. 42 minutes into the match, Archie Stonebridge notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Union Deportiva Atios's Román Contreras. Román Contreras was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Román Contreras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Reading in the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Archie Stonebridge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Union Deportiva Atios's goal looked a bit too open when Archie Stonebridge came free, but Román Contreras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Buster Cornish in the 62nd minute of play forced Union Deportiva Atios's goalkeeper Román Contreras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gartzea Cabezas couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute Jeffrey Roberts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Román Contreras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amancio Talavera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Wilson having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Jack Stayton made a precise shot to the right of Román Contreras. Union Deportiva Atios's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. In the 88th minute, Víctor Prieto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Víctor Prieto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Wilson.
