Jacinto Cross showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Ascencio in the 16th minute of the match. After 18 minutes of play, Black Rose 1979's Desiderio Vito made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Talcampeón FC's Jacinto Cross played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Vito in the 22nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Filiberto Ascencio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacinto Cross. That made the score 4-0 in the 27 minute of play. Diego Bartolome received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jacinto Cross tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Talcampeón FC's zone, Diego Bartolome stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Cross came out of the goal and Diego Bartolome tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Black Rose 1979 booed when Talcampeón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosme Zurita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Desiderio Vito hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nestor Barria was the one to do the kick off. Jacinto Cross took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Vito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Barria took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldomero Guillem. Baldomero Guillem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Filiberto Ascencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Cross having to interfere. Ángel Soruco hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. A collision led to Black Rose 1979 getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Desiderio Vito hit a great ball. Talcampeón FC's Jacinto Cross played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Vito in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Talcampeón FC's Cosme Zurita seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cosme Zurita the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Talcampeón FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cosme Zurita had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Diego Bartolome shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 84thth minute of the game Desiderio Vito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Talcampeón FC's Jacinto Cross was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pablo Chabier's late challenge caught a Talcampeón FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pablo Chabier helped the player get up and apologised. Pablo Chabier hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. José Francisco Maffey hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Talcampeón FC's Cosme Mella got a free kick in the 95th minute. Diego Bartolome took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacinto Cross. Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Black Rose 1979's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
