Wellington Barbosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Wellington Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihály Gere in the 14th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Wellington Barbosa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 30 minutes into the game, Vasco FC's César de Godoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raphael de Medeiros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wellington Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihály Gere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihály Gere in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wellington Barbosa saved Vasco FC from getting behind. In the 62nd minute, Raphael de Medeiros fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Tiago Gabriel Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th match minute, Vasco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denílson Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute Dániel Cziráki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
