The audience was convinced that Timoteo Columbo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dalmacio Pello was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. When Virgilio Van Dijck came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Tello AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Van Dijck couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pastor Nofre in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hélio Mangueira saved Academia 1903 from getting behind. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia 1903's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lázaro Garcia was slow to take the kick. During this time Tello AFC's players had a chance to rest. Hélio Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hong Yi Yang in the 40th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Timoteo Columbo made a kick off. Timoteo Columbo scored 1-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dalmacio Pello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Academia 1903's Nicanor Morenø was substituted for Timoteo Columbo. Academia 1903 made a substitution. Gérard Magyar replaced Harald Ek. Hélio Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Van Dijck, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Tello AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Ezkerra came free, but Dalmacio Pello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Jorge Orkatz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hélio Mangueira. Academia 1903's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Orkatz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
