The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Glauco Mineiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Elder Vergílio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Glauco Mineiro had several of the FC St. Pauli's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Elder Vergílio as he didn't even see the shot coming. 21 minutes into the match, Pranas Užkuraitis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabiano Neto. Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pranas Užkuraitis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Glauco Mineiro in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elder Vergílio saved FC St. Pauli from getting behind. Elder Vergílio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ceyhan Ilıcak. Elder Vergílio was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Glauco Mineiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Glauco Mineiro really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. 32 minutes into the match, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's goal looked a bit too open when Pranas Užkuraitis came free, but Fabiano Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 played minutes FC St. Pauli got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Messias. With a little luck, FC St. Pauli's Elder Vergílio got control of the ball when Glauco Mineiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Glauco Mineiro scored 4-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elder Vergílio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC St. Pauli's Elder Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Mineiro in the 38th minute of play. Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Glauco Mineiro was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 39th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Glauco Mineiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Elder Vergílio made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Glauco Mineiro took a quick shot and it went in 6-1 without a chance for Elder Vergílio to make any attempt to save it. The Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Glauco Mineiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pranas Užkuraitis to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the FC St. Pauli defense, Glauco Mineiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elder Vergílio. The FC St. Pauli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elder Vergílio should have stopped the shot. In the 54th minute, Alfredinho Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elder Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Glauco Mineiro in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC St. Pauli's goalie prevented a goal. Lucas Zagalo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fabiano Neto came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucas Zagalo slotted it home off the left post making it 8-2 in the 62nd minute. Nildo Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute of the match Filippo Inzaghi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabiano Neto skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Didico Difesa hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Glauco Mineiro in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elder Vergílio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the FC St. Pauli defense, Glauco Mineiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elder Vergílio. The FC St. Pauli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elder Vergílio should have stopped the shot. 81 minutes into the game, Inácio Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-2. Elder Vergílio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the match, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's goalkeeper Fabiano Neto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaká Brasil. 85 minutes into the match, Maurinho Almeida notched a goal, 11-2, to the right of FC St. Pauli's Elder Vergílio. Elder Vergílio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Matheus Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. A collision led to Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Didico Difesa hit a great ball.
