In the 3rdth minute of the game Carlos Figueiredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the last second August Hoffmanns throw himself and got hold of the ball when Carlos Figueiredo in the 4thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. August Hoffmanns was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Carlos Figueiredo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlos Figueiredo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Ansgar Küpper-Adebisi fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rot-Weiss-Essen's protests and gave Ansgar Küpper-Adebisi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Ansgar Küpper-Adebisi got a free kick in the 18th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Sporting Tuga FC's Manuel Furtado broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alfredo Santana came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Rot-Weiss-Essen's Hugo Haupt. But to his dismay, Hugo Haupt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Sporting Tuga FC's Simão Lobato got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The corner ended in Manuel Furtado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns did a great save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Figueiredo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Carlos Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Figueiredo came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Lucius Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Hoffmanns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Monsanto came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Tuga FC's zone, Maximilian Henning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Santana came out of the goal and Maximilian Henning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. August Hoffmanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leal Vilela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Rot-Weiss-Essen defense, Carlos Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of August Hoffmanns. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that August Hoffmanns should have stopped the shot. August Hoffmanns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sporting Tuga FC had played much better football throughout.
