The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Filiberto Medina put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bairoletto FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! In the 33rdth minute of the game Timoteo Columbo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bairoletto FC's Candido Lehior was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Timoteo Columbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Timoteo Columbo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia 1903's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Columbo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Candido Lehior breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alonzo Mergildo made in the 39th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tomás Bernard however managed to control. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
