An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Reyes in the 9th minute of play forced FC Kurdistan's goalkeeper Alaaddin Solskjær to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Froilan Reyes came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Parque Europa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Froilan Reyes couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Froilan Reyes in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alaaddin Solskjær saved FC Kurdistan from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Parque Europa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Nordgren came free, but Luis Täger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Täger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliot Nordgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 minutes, Froilan Reyes made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Kurdistan's Alaaddin Solskjær tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Kurdistan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Froilan Reyes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The audience was convinced that Froilan Reyes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alaaddin Solskjær was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fredric Hybbert got free with Luis Täger in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alaaddin Solskjær took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Reyes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Kurdistan's Elliot Nordgren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luis Täger. That made the score 1-2 after 40 minutes of play. FC Kurdistan's Lars Sundström was substituted for Elliot Nordgren. FC Kurdistan made a substitution. Iwan Kasiewski replaced Ubaldo Ritchie. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
