After a rather tough play, Herblay's Edgard Cognard got a free kick in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Herblay's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Alagoano came free, but Kader Raguin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Amadeu Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kader Raguin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kader Raguin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herblay's Kader Raguin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Alagoano in the 24th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Léo Ortiz during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Herblay booed when Al-Fajuth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Al-Fajuth's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maicon Zanette in the 31st minute. Al-Fajuth's Maicon Zanette was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kader Raguin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eliseu Alagoano scored 1-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kader Raguin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rômulo Soares took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kader Raguin. Kader Raguin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The supporters of Herblay booed when Al-Fajuth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jefferson Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Eliseu Alagoano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Al-Fajuth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Eliseu Alagoano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kader Raguin came out and tried to block the shot, but Eliseu Alagoano slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute Adam Maugard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Édouard Mendy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Herblay's Adam Maugard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Édouard Mendy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Kader Raguin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Furlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Rômulo Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Herblay's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Soares came free, but Kader Raguin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Rômulo Soares made a precise shot to the right of Kader Raguin. Herblay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-7. In the 84th match minute, Al-Fajuth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maicon Zanette to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute of the match Paul-Émile Morille sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Édouard Mendy skillfully saved the ball. A hard shot 89 in the game by Eliseu Alagoano from a close distance when the talented Kader Raguin managed to make a qualified save. Herblay's players were relieved. After having played for 90 minutes, Rômulo Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Al-Fajuth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rômulo Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Herblay's Kader Raguin got control of the ball when Eliseu Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Al-Fajuth walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
