Sibéria FC's Celestino Gipuzkoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atle Finsrud in the 11th minute of play. FC Klavertje Vier were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Sibéria FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zabal Ubeda took the corner. FC Klavertje Vier's Jean-Louis Koula was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Celestino Gipuzkoa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Atle Finsrud struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Celestino Gipuzkoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Klavertje Vier. José Cavalcante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Zabulón Carabajal made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Sibéria FC's zone, Zinon Potamias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Gipuzkoa came out of the goal and Zinon Potamias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Gustavo Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zabulón Carabajal having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Zinon Potamias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celestino Gipuzkoa was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Sibéria FC's Zabulón Carabajal threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vito de Moraes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zabulón Carabajal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Gustavo Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zinon Potamias came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the FC Klavertje Vier fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zinon Potamias couldn't finish the play. Celestino Gipuzkoa came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Klavertje Vier's Zinon Potamias. But to his dismay, Zinon Potamias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zinon Potamias was the one to do the kick off. Celestino Gipuzkoa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Zabal Ubeda. After a rather tough play, Sibéria FC's Edson Cavani got a free kick in the 62nd minute. If Zinon Potamias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes Sibéria FC got a freekick which was hit by Cléber Teixeira. After 70 minutes, Zinon Potamias made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Sibéria FC's Celestino Gipuzkoa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute, Bertrand Sielens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Klavertje Vier's Lars Lecointre was substituted for Max De Wever. Bertrand Sielens hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the match, Sibéria FC's Vito de Moraes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zabulón Carabajal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Klavertje Vier's Atle Finsrud got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atle Finsrud's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celestino Gipuzkoa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. FC Klavertje Vier were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Sibéria FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Atle Finsrud took the corner. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, José Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sibéria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Cavalcante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zabulón Carabajal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The FC Klavertje Vier supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Klavertje Vier would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
